Bridge 5 Mill
Bridge 5 Mill is Manchester's first Centre for Change. This converted mill in Ancoats provides a focal point for debate and action around sustainability. It is home to a range of charities, campaign groups and green businesses. The centre provides community resources including conference and meeting rooms, a library, equipment hire and offices for voluntary groups and social enterprises.
What's in Bridge 5 Mill?
Ground Floor
This floor is open to the public with a reception office, meeting rooms and resource area including an information library and a computer suite which offers free internet facilities. We also have resources such as digital projectors available for hire.
First, Second and Third Floors
These floors house MERCI's own offices and various other third sector tenants. If you are interested in becoming a tenant please contact us via the office space link.
Fourth Floor
This is the conference floor; providing a fantastic and unique conference venue for up to a hundred people or can be used as a workshop space, meeting room or dance studio!
Annexes
There are three annexes. Two of them are occupied and we hope to complete the first floor annex soon and set it up either as an art and craft room or as an artists studio.
The Mill was refurbished sustainably with the support of volunteers and trainees and is one of Manchester's most environmentally friendly buildings. Manchester Civic Society acknowledged this in 2001 when Bridge 5 Mill won the award of Manchester's most energy efficient building.
