SNAG – Mapping Volunteer(s) Needed
** this position is currently filled **
The volunteer/s would be working with Sustainable Neighbourhoods Action Group (SNAG) Coordinator. SNAG is trying to ensure that the places where we live (our neighbourhoods) can fulfil their potential and become what we as citizens both need and deserve them to be.
We care about all the issues that affect our neighbourhoods from air quality to waste and recycling. The SNAG coordinator sits on the City Council's Sustainable Neighbourhoods Partnership Board, which governs housing, planing, regeneration and environmental issues right across Manchester. Through SNAG meetings we ensure that neighbourhood issues that are of concern to the third sector in Manchester, are raised at the highest level at the Partnership board.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a volunteer(s) to participate in a vital programme of work. It will enable the volunteer to develop an understanding of the city-wide environmental/sustainability community and will allow them to gain experience in project management.
