• Strengthening the capacity of environmental groups in Manchester to carry out their work
• Providing training that meets their need

• Give a louder and more legitimate voice to environmental groups influencing public sector activities in Manchester
• Increase effectiveness of working with the LSP, council and public sector agencies
• Identify common issues among the network to focus resources on achievable goals

• Improve communication and facilitate joint working between groups to encourage them to work together more effectively to achieve their aims
• Facilitate the sharing of skills, information and resources
• Provide a range of opportunities for groups to meet

• Raise awareness of environmental issues to the general public

• Act as central point of access to information and advice on environmental initiatives and environmental groups
• To actively research, collect and distribute information regarding environmental groups and initiatives
• Provide information on the resources, training and funding available to groups
